Great fun works by Mr.Crawford !

先日、NYから到着した郵便物。
待ちに待っていたのは、カートゥニストの マイケルさんの作品数点。
（初めての作品交換。光栄です。）

スケッチ感覚で描かれたものもありそうですが、
ユーモラスでワクワクするものばかり！（一部ご紹介）

Can you see my name on the cap? It made me  so glad!　  

地図を使った愉しい作品。キャップに私の名前発見。とても嬉しい♪　 

水彩、コラージュ...絵の表現は多種多様。

右の作品。ホント愉しい！

このタッチがとても好き。軽快な線と着色。構図もいいな〜

アメリカらしくていいな！

雑誌 「THE NEW YORKER」は、内容がよくわからずとも、表紙や挿絵にどことなく惹かれていた。
その雑誌社が起用し、現在もご活躍中のマイケルさん。
長いキャリアを持つプロの作品・スケッチを手に取って拝見できることはとても、とても有難い。
私にとっては、まさに良きお手本！
地道に続けていると、たまには良い事もあります。明日も地道に描いていこう。

Somehow  I've been attracted to cover illustrations and cartoons in a magazine,THE NEW YORKER, 
even if I don't understand the meaning of articles.
Mr.Crawford who has been succeed with his job in this magazine, said to me that 
these are humble sketches,but  all of his works are good example for me!
I am deeply thankful for being able to look over  works by professionals like him with a long career.
Thank you so much Michael!!  I'll keep drawing! ;-)
